Fridays For Future Salamanca works to fight climate change and the system that has generated it. To do this, they think globally and act locally through talks, reforestation, demonstrations, direct actions, complaints, and by raising public awareness.

The Fridays For Future Salamanca movement began on March 15, 2019 with the global climate march. It is part of Fridays For Future Spain. They have one clear objective: to fight against the climate crisis and environmental deterioration.

The movement's strategy consists of two parts. Firstly, it strives to increase citizens' awareness of the crisis, for instance by organizing talks in high schools and universities, hosting a radio show, and impacting the public debate online, in addition to many other initiatives. Secondly, through public demonstrations and direct actions Fridays For Future Salamanca puts pressure on the political class and (international) corporations that put money over life, social justice, human rights, and care for the environment.
