The Movement of Homeless Workers (MTST) is a social movement founded in 1997 with the aim of guaranteeing the constitutional right to decent housing for all.
Over the last few decades, the MTST has grown, gained national visibility and is present in 14 states. It is one of the most important urban social movements in Latin America and has been at the forefront of the main progressive social mobilizations in Brazil in recent years.
