WAELE Africa

WAELE Africa is a Non-Governmental Organization founded on 8 May 2004, dedicated to advancing the participation of African women in economic decision-making, peace and conflict resolution, and governance across the continent.
The organization engages in research, education, and awareness campaigns on issues including economic development, climate change, and human trafficking, while providing a forum for African women to exchange ideas, discuss shared challenges, and strategize around their business and social interests.

To translate this advocacy into tangible impact, WAELE establishes women's development centers to promote training and skills development, supports rural women farmers with modern agro-processing equipment, and operates African women-focused media platforms to propagate the rights of women and girls.
