Progressive Doctors is a global, multi-issue community of physicians, medical students, and other health workers focused on political education, escalating individual action, and organizing.
We focus on issues including and beyond healthcare that affect our patients' (and our own) health. We predominantly organize online to share questions, actions, education, and news. We also foster and support local, in-person organizing; build collaborations across organizations, issues, and geography; and seek to shift the narrative in medicine and healthcare to be more focused on equity, public health, and concerned with all people everywhere. We use the label progressive to be more inclusive, but are working to build radical, feminist, anti-capitalist, anti-racist, and internationalist action.
