The Progressive International has arrived in Palestine.
At the invitation of partners on the ground, we will bring the eyes of the world to bear on the crimes of Israeli apartheid and the determined resistance of the Palestinian people.
Joined by members and partners, our delegation will meet with Palestinian activists, organizations, trade unions, and other political forces.
We will document the processes of apartheid, settler-colonialism, and dispossession that shape the lives of the Palestinian people. We will convey to you directly the aims and demands of the Palestinian resistance — the voices that the mainstream media continues to muzzle.
We will learn about and share with you the ways in which progressive forces around the world can mobilize to challenge the state, institutional, and corporate complicity that powers Israeli occupation and apartheid.
And we will join the Palestinian people as they commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Nakba (Arabic for “catastrophe”), a campaign of ethnic cleansing in which over 750,000 Palestinians were evicted from their land and their homes — a process that continues to this day.
Update (7 August 2023): Today, we are publishing a report from our delegation, which summarizes our impressions from the visit and shares some of what we learned from liberation forces in Palestine.
